①Zunda( mashed green beans )
Zunda is a green paste of edamame (young soybeans) and sora beans.
Zunda is used for local dishes , and it is often used mainly for sweets. Famous zunda sweets such as "Zunda Mochi" and "Zunda Shake", "Zunda Daihuku" are sold at specialty shops in Sendai Station.
②Sasakamaboko
Sasakamaboko is a representive specialty of Miyagi Prefecture and was born in Sendai in the early Meiji period. It is made by making fish paste into a bamboo shape and baking it. It is a brown fox color, soft and crisp. Another selling point is that it is easy to eat as a finger food. These days, you can enjoy different flavors such as cheese and green shiso kneaded together.
